Intro

Back in 2011 we mountain biked across Wales, a route known as the Trans Cambrian Way. A distance of 103 miles which we did self sufficiently and over 3 days.

One of the team members - Matt, after three years in New Zealand was back in the UK for a few months, so naturally, the next trans country route, just had to be undertaken. Going across England just wasn't going to cut it, so we went all out and decided Scotland would be or next destination to conquer. A length of 250 miles and an 8 day ride was going to be no small feat.

The team for this trip was:
Matt who had done a limited amount of biking in recent times (not that this was noticed) was still a dab hand at all things technical, whether that is navigation devices or bikes.
Helen, who like Matt, had in the past done John O'groats to Land's End and had a vast amount of experience doing 2+ hour trail centre rides plus the Dyfi Enduro under her belt.
Myself, Jo, who like Helen, has done a lot of short rides and the Dyfi Enduro 2 weeks before being the longest ride ever done.
We all have a great passion for mountain biking and having an adventure in remote areas... so the Scottish C2C is perfect,
