Day 4 - Newtownmore to Aviemore

37.4km: 211m height gain: 362m highest point: ride time 2.5 hours
Punctures 0: Stacks 0

A shorter day to allow for resting and a buffer for any issues which needed sorting. Although short, this day provided some of the best riding - from forest tracks, flowing single tracks, the clear water of river Feshie and the peacfulness of the Inshriach forest.

A river crossing kept us on our toes and fingers on the camera, on the off chance of catching a stack...not on this occasion though.

Team photo of the day was at Ruthnen Barracks

Arriving a Aviemore in the early afternoon meant chaining the bikes up behind the bunkhouse, changing clothes behind the wheely bin or for the more classy in Tesco's toilets, was needed.

A wonder around the town, a coffee and long discussions on what food to buy passed the time by until the bunkhouse opened. A push-button shower put this one at the bottom of the shower leader board and the heavy snorer aka the dinosaur lead to an uncomfortable night. Especially for Matt who decided the corridor would be a better place to sleep!
