Paul and Julia were fantastic hosts, they made us feel so welcome and they were so pleased they could host their first couch surfers before heading off on a motor bike tour through Europe.

This final few km were all on road, it wasn't until the last 15 mins did we get our first glimpse of the east coast.

We arrived at the beach 30 mins before our train left. There was no doubt that the trip should end as it started with a dip in the sea. Hoping it would be warmer than the west coast we ran in, dunked under, rapidly got changed and threw in a few selfies.

The wee dram came when we got to the station!

We had booked the train tickets in advance, as had we booked on the bikes. They however did not allow more than 2 bikes on at a time. The original plan was to have 1 person on an earlier train to the other 2. But as it turned out, 3 bikes on the same train was not an issue and they were very accommodating. Once in Glasgow we decided, based on the success of the first train journey, we would take another train rather than ride in the rain through Glasgow to the car.
